CIEKAWE I RZADKIE ZŁOTOWICIOWCE (CHRYSOPHYCEAE)
Z WYBRANYCH JEZIOR HUMOTROFICZNYCH I TORFOWISKA WE WSI ROSOCHATY RÓG
Z TERENU WIGIERSKIEGO PARKU NARODOWEGO
Interesting and rare yellow algae (Chrysophyceae) of selected humotrofic lakes and the peatbog in the Rosochaty Róg village on the area of Wigry National Park

Obserwacje dotyczyły złotowiciowców z tych sucharów i torfowiska we wsi Rosochaty Róg w latach 1994-95 i 2002 roku. Drugim ciekawym złotowiciowcem jest Rhipidodendron splendidum Stein (fot.1) znaleziony pomiędzy liśćmi pływacza Utricularia w Sucharach: II, I, IV, Wschodnim i Zachodnim. Na liściach Utricularia i Sphagnum w Sucharze Wschodnim znaleziono Kybotion eremita Pascher (ryc.4) i K.globosum (Matvienko) Bourrelly (ryc.5). Na liściach Sphagnum w Sucharach: Wschodnim, II, IV, I, w jeziorze Pietronajć zaobserwowano Chrysosphaera paludosa (Korsikov) Bourrelly (ryc.2, fot.2) i Phaeoplaca thallosa Chodat (ryc.3, fot.3). W Sucharze III, na Tribonema sp. znaleziono Lagynion macrotrachelum Pascher (ryc.7) a L.ampullaceum Pascher (ryc.6) w jeziorze Konopniak. Phaeothamnion articulatum Ettl (ryc.8) często występował w Sucharze Zachodnim. Częstymi w sucharach są: Dinobryon bavaricum Inhof, D.pediforme (Lemm.) Steinecke, D.divergens Imhof, D.sociale var. americanum (Brunthaler) Bachman, Synura uvella (Ehrenberg emend Korsikov, S.sphagnicola Korsikov, Phaeothamnion polychrysis Pascher, Mallomonas sp., Chromulina sp.

Najwięcej złotowiciowców znaleziono od końca sierpnia do października. Tylko Cyclonexis annularis z torfowiska występował na wiosnę i na początku lata.

Wigry National Park, founded in 1989, is situated in the north-east of Poland , in the Lithuanian Lake District. The border of two mezo-regions runs across the lake Wigry: East-Suwałki Lake District and Augustów Plainland. The lakes on the area of WPN very a lot as far as trophy, saturation of oxygen and organic compounds are concerned. The special type of lakes are humotrophic ones (so called “suchar” - regional name) which there are 20 on that area. A short characteristics of researched lakes is given in table No. 1. The researched peatbog in the village of Rosochaty Róg is situated on the shore of the Wigry lake. It is a complex of overgrowing highmoor and transitional peatbogs formated in the place of cut-off shallow bays of the Wigry lake. The average thickness of the peatbog is 11 meters, pH 4,5-5.

My observations concerned yellow algae of these humotrophic lakes and the peatbog in the years 1994-95 and 2002. 18 species of yellow algae, among them some interesting and rare, were found. The most interesting is Cyclonexis annularis Stokes (Fig.1) of the highmoor peatbog situated on the shore of the Wigry lake in the Rosochaty Róg village. The second one is Rhipidodendron splendidum Stein (photo1) found among leaves of Utricularia in Suchar: III, IV, I, Wschodni, and Zachodni. Kybotion eremita Pascher (fig.4) and K.globosum (Matvienko) Bourrelly (fot.5) were found on the leaves of Utricularia and Sphagnum in the  Suchar Wschodni. Chrysosphaera paludosa (Korsikov) Bourrelly (fig.2, photo3) were observed on the leaves of Sphagnum in Suchar Wschodni, I, III, IV and the Pietronajć lake. In Suchar III Lagynion macrotrachelum Pascher (fig.7) on Tribonema sp. was fund and L.ampullaceum Pascher (fig. 6) was found in the Konopniak lake. Phaeothamnion articulatum Ettl (fig.8) was often observed in Suchar Zachodni. The most often met in “suchar” lakes are: Dinobryon bavaricum Inhof, D.pediforme (Lemm.) Steinecke, D.divergens Imhof, D.sociale var. americanum (Brunthalter) Bachmann, Synura uvella Ehrenberg emend. Korsikov, S.sphagnicola Korsikov, Phaeothamnion polychrysis Pascher, Mallomonas sp., Chromulina sp..

The greatest number of yellow algae was found from the end August till October. Only Cyclonexis annularis of the peatbog was observed in spring and the begining of summer..
